My Squad and I arrived in Colombia today after almost 20 hours of travel and I’m so excited to tell y’all more about our ministry as we get started TOMORROW!

Until then, I wanted to write a quick blog about training camp that will not do it justice because it was unbelievably cool.

Have you ever heard of the different “types of fun”?

Type 2 Fun consist of things that may not be super fun in the moment but after they happen you can look back on them and appreciate what they brought. My goodness.. Training camp was the DEFINITION of type 2 fun for me. We were in a quarantine bubble on campus and our days consisted of:

Multiple teachings, some team challenges, personal alone time and then REPEAT. Some sessions hit deeper than others while some were filled with so much laughter getting to learn how we work with each other in different challenges (Our squad Mentor Kylee made escape rooms for us.. can you say CREATIVITY?!)

Through all of this one of my bigger takeaways was that the Lord is so Gentle and patient. He is present in sessions that were being taught on a specific thing, and in goofy minute to win it challenges, and in small conversations in the food line and in one on one conversations full of depth and honesty. I look back and see how he showed himself to me in all these things even the ones I wasn’t comfortable in and still I can see how he guided me along at my own pace.

Do you see the Lord being gentle and cheering you on in everyday things? Maybe it’s through conversations on a zoom meeting, or that random text from a friend or a sunset that warms your heart.

Papa God, thank you for showing me at Training camp just how active you really are in my everyday life. I pray that as we grow closer in our relationship, It would be ABUNDANTLY CLEAR to me how you’re working in and around me everyday.

-Love Always,

Cyntya
