“Do you have a birthday wish this year?”
“What would it be?”
My response... “I’m on the World Race, what more could I want?”
I recently celebrated my 27th birthday watching the sunset on the beach of Jaco, Costa Rica. It’s been just a little over 3 months on the field serving with The World Race and I CANNOT believe this is my life. Our squad was in Jaco for a couple of days and even after 3 months it never gets old getting to share with people what my life consists of right now. Every time I say it out loud I have to take a second and remember this is where God has called me.
Coincidentally (or not) my birthday came around the same time that team changes did. (More exciting details to come about my new team soon!) Seasons of change have always been challenging for me to process. The two weeks leading up to team changes had me feeling DRAINED. EXHAUSTED. BURNT OUT. After expressing this to my leadership team I felt like I could breathe again. I felt the Lord encourage me to KEEP PUSHING.
And so that brings us to... what’s next?
Well.... I don’t really know. I said yes to leading a new team through this next season. In saying yes I feel the Lord calling me to holding it with open hands that are ready to receive whatever comes. I’ve heard the Lord promise a couple of things in this new season:
“Refinement”
“Freedom”
“Peace”
“New Wine”
“Direction”
“Dwelling in his presence”
I don’t know what all of these mean right now. I don’t know how God will walk me through them. I don’t know what will come to bring these things out of me. I do know that the Lord has a plan and I’m along for the ride.
So.. here’s to 27! My new team and I have some Unscripted time in San Jose, Costa Rica. We will be spending time in listening prayer to see where God calls us next in the country.
As always supporting me, my team and squad in prayer is WELCOMED! Especially with these new promises God has given me.. prayers for the process to come would be great.
While I may be Fully funded, if you feel lead to support me financially with everyday things like toiletries, doing laundry, hostel A/C (because free air conditioning is not always a thing overseas), or giving a bit to go to savings for when I get back from the race you can do that through the methods below.
