I am officially on my LAST WEEK of The World Race and I really can’t wrap my head around it!

For the last month my team and I have been partnering with a church in Tbilisi, Georgia. This month has been so sweet because we’ve been able to work with brothers and sisters from different nations in one place. We’ve had the opportunity to partner with a Pastor from India, a couple from Iran and Georgian Pastors who are all running different kinds of ministries.

•We visited a Refugee Center and (because of generous donations from people back home) were able to provide food for 80 people.

•We attended different church services and went out to evangelize with a group of medical students in the city.

•We visited nearby villages and got to spend time with youth of different ages. We shared Bible stories, taught English and played games for a couple of hours each time.

One day we headed to ministry not knowing where we were going or who we were going with. We arrived to the church, met a pastor and got in his car to head to the village. We joked about getting into another “strangers car” and how it’d become a typical “race thing”.

You see we’ve been to several countries this year and all the people We’ve served with started off as strangers. There was the awkward first days of ministry getting to know eachother. There was awkward first day introductions.Sometimes there were long drives where we filled time talking about Gods work in our lives, families, dreams, music, food and Everything in between.  Other times there were long drives where we didn’t speak the same language as the “strangers” so instead we listened to music in another language and hummed along.

By the end of our time in each country these people were no longer strangers but instead they were friends. We were introduced to spiritual family, running the same race all around the world.

It’s been a true honor to get to partner alongside the Global church in such a personal and hands on way this year. Someone asked me recently, “Are you happy you did it?” And happy doesn’t even begin to describe it. I’ve learned so much this year and I’ve grown my relationship with the Lord even MORE.

My squad and I start our FINAL DEBRIEF today. It will be a week of reflecting and celebrating all God has done this year. Please pray for us that our hearts would be open to receive whatever God has for us in this debrief. Pray for soft hearts and safe travels as we head back to America in just 6 short days.
