Can you believe it is already OCTOBER?!?! I started the application process for The World Race in January and over the last couple of months I have been continuously humbled by the way God has provided so much for me even amidst everything going on in our world. To date, I have fundraised $12,617 dollars which means I have raised about 70% of the total goal! PRAISE GOD!! 

To continue the journey of fundraising I am selling T-shirts that represent what I believe God wants to do through this mission trip. As a believer and follower of Jesus Christ I am called to..” Love the Lord my God with all of my heart and with all my soul and with all my mind… and to love my neighbor as myself..” (Matthew 22: 37-39) 

One of my favorite things that I am learning from growing my relationship with Jesus is that he loves people in so many different ways. Whether it is speaking into a situation they were struggling with (John 4: 1-42) , physically healing someone(Matthew 2: 10-12), calling them to follow him (Matthew 4: 18-22) or simply walking alongside them for a time, he loves others in an individual way that speaks directly to them. As I travel next year, I will be in places that throw me out of my comfort zone. I may feel that I am not able to serve others in the way I think they need and because of this I will need to wholeheartedly follow God and how he tells me to love others. I know from personal experience that the way God loves me is so unique to who I am. Because of this, I can trust that he will call me to love others in a personal way that will speak directly to who they are. MY GOODNESS... I am so excited to see what loving my neighbor will look like when I am in a completely different setting! God is creative, genuine, and thoughtful so I can’t even begin to imagine all the ways he will call me to do this.
